On Cacofonia, Gabriel da Rosa pairs bossa nova with new influences: Brazilian musicians working in other genres, like Rodrigo Amarante and O Terno, and American artists such as David Byrne and Sam Evian – a reflection of how Gabriel has one foot in Brazil and the other in LA. Cacofonia's title, which translates to “cacophony”, gestures to its clash of “notes, tensions, surprises and moods”. Vinyl features original artwork by Gabriel da Rosa.
